Chefchaouen, Morocco’s charming blue city, is situated in the picturesque Rif Mountains. It captivates visitors with its unique atmosphere and painted streets. During this week we will also discover the cities of Tangier, Asilah, Tetouan and Chefchaouen.
This Travel Sketching workshop is open to all people who wish to start or improve in urban drawing (Urban Sketching), and Travel Notebook. Both beginners and experienced are welcome.
It aims to discover the beauty that surrounds us, in Chefchaouen, Assilah, Tetouan and Tangier in a different way, through drawing. Likewise, he has a creative and personal approach to Travel Sketching.
During our walks through these cities, we will learn to develop our sense of observation to reproduce in images a little of everything that surrounds us: emblematic buildings and elements of the local urban landscape, characters, street scenes, details, etc.
Emphasis will be placed on observation, experimentation and letting go.
This course will help you acquire the confidence and ease necessary to progress.
Program
27 October to 3 November 2024 – 8 días / 7 noches
Arrival on October 27, 2024 in Tangier, reception of the students by our guide Yacin. Pick up the group at the airport and departure to Asilah by minibus.
Return on November 3, 2024. Plan to return from Tangier Airport.
Sketch-Barcelona reserves the right to cancel this workshop in the event of not reaching a sufficient number of registered participants.

PROGRAM – The program will be communicated to you on the first day of the workshop.
Arrival in TANGIER.
Day 1: We meet at the Ibn Batouta airport in Tangier, around 2 p.m. Transfer to Asílah by bus (50 km). Night in Asilah.
Day 2 : Day in Asilah. Night in Asilah.
Day 3: Day in Tangier. Night in Asilah.
Day 4: Visit of Tétouan (100km, more or less 1’45 heures). Drawing in the old city. Departure for Chaouen (70 km, one hour and a half). Night in Chefchaouen.
Day 5: Day in Chefchaouen. Night in Chefchachaouen.
Day 6: Day in Chefchaouen. Night in Chefchachaouen.
Day 7: Morning in Cherfchaouen. Meal. Departure in the afternoon for Tangier. Night in Asilah.
Day 8: Breakfast – Transfer to Tangier airport.

How is the workshop planned?
October 27, 2024 / November 3, 2024
Arrival in Tangier. Reception and pick-up of the students by our guide Yacin at the Tangier airport. Transfer by minibus to the beautiful city of Asilah.
A circuit is organized between Tangier, Asilah, Tetouan and Chefchaouen, where we can discover colorful and unique towns and landscapes through drawing, color, and other techniques, such as collage, lettering, etc.
Transport is included in the price.
Accommodation, meals and internal transfer by minibus included in the price.

What does the price include?
The price includes:
• Drawing workshop, hours spread over 6 days for a maximum group of 14 people.
• Full board accommodation in a double room, shared with another participant.
• Airport / hotel transfers
• Travel in a 17-seater minibus with driver
• Moroccan tourist guide in some places of interest
Price does not include:
• I/V flights to Tangier
• Alcoholic beverages or soft drinks taken during meals; Only mineral water is included.

They are workshops for small groups (approximately 12 people).
– It is necessary to register in advance.
– Sketching classes will be taught in Spanish, English and French.
– The commented visits of the places organized by Morocco Ecotravel will be done in French.
– Sketch Barcelona reserves the right to cancel a trip if the minimum number of registered participants has not been reached or due to Force Majeure.
– Our Force Majeure Policy does not cover travel problems due to COVID-19 or other illnesses.
Practical aspects for before the trip
Insurance.
I recommend you take out travel insurance to manage the practical aspects of the trip: flights, theft and robbery, accommodation, illness or cancellation. Sketch-barcelona will only be responsible for the pedagogical part.
